Bitumer Hydropur 1K

Bitumer Hydropur 1K is a high-quality waterproofing membrane for waterproofing buildings. The most important features:

• Waterproof, immediately after laying on the insulated surface is completely resistant to water flushing,
• Perfectly penetrates deep into insulated surfaces
• To be applied by paintbrush, brush or spray
• Has good adhesion to dry substrates (concrete, tar paper, eternit, steel structures, etc.),
• When dry, forms a uniform strong and flexible coating resistant to chemical agents, oils, kerosene, acids and alkalis.

USAGE

Bitumer Hydropur 1K as a concrete surface protection compound is ideal:

• For the protection of concrete against moisture, water
• and kerosene,
• For effective, systemic moisture and waterproofing of roofs, flat roofs, concrete screeds, basements, terraces, footings and foundations,
• For making anti-corrosion coatings.

PREPARATION OF THE SURFACE

The substrate for anti-moisture and waterproof coatings must be level (without cracks, cavities, protruding fragments), free of any contaminants that could impair the bonding ( fats, oils, grease, laitance). All edges should be chamfered, concave corners should be rounded with cement mortar, facets should be used at the joints of vertical and horizontal surfaces. Fill any damage to the substrate, joints, crawls, gaps. Surfaces with irregular shapes, numerous cavities or protrusions should be covered with cement plaster before priming.

APPLICATION

Before proceeding, mix the product thoroughly at a ratio of 1:1 (1 part asphalt solution to 1 part hardener). The mixture should be stirred with a mechanical stirrer at a speed not exceeding 200 rpm for 2 min to pre-start the chemical reaction. After mixing, set the mixture aside for 2 minutes to let the air out. After 2 minutes, stir the mixture once and begin application The compound can be applied to the surface by hand with a paintbrush, roller or brush. It is also possible to apply by spraying.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Perform the work in dry conditions with air and substrate temperature from +5°C to +30°C. The setting time depends on temperature(for temp. 20°C full setting occurs after 7 days) and air mass movements. To avoid damage to the insulated surface, e.g. during backfilling of an excavation or landslide, wait until the insulation is completely dry and use appropriate drainage boards or other covers. Do not use the product indoors for permanent human and animal residence, in the food industry and for tar materials. Do not use contact with styrofoam. The product contains organic solvents. . The product should be used in an airy place, away from fire.
