Elaston 2K

Bitumer Elaston 2K

TWO-COMPONENT ASPHALT WATERPROOFING COMPOUND TYPE KMB

A Two-component, liquid and flexible asphalt-rubber,membrane, fiber-reinforced. The high dry matter content makes it possible to form a durable protective coating that effectively protects building structuresfrom moisture in the soil.

Bitumer Elaston 2K is a productthat forms a flexible anti-corrosion barrier with strong adhesion to the surface to which it is applied.

Key features:
  • forms a seamless waterproofing barrier that protects underground structures parts of buildings against water and moisture,
  • high adhesion to the substrate,
  • permanent elasticity,
  • binds within 2h,
  • does not contain organic solvents,
  • resistant to high water pressure up to 7.5 m,
  • high capacity to cover structural cracks due to fibers in the product,
  • excellent resistance to chemicals and salt solutions contained in the soil.
Usage:
  • On all horizontal and vertical surfaces,
  • In insulation applications where strength is required resistance to higher water pressure,
  • To isolate water leaks in covered wet areas such as bathrooms, kitchens, toilets, etc.,
  • In external insulation of ground walls, basements and underground storage areas, etc.,
  • Is used along with reinforcement such as fiber mesh, non-woven polyester, etc. in cracked surfaces.
Application:

Prime absorbent, mineral surfaces with Primbit W diluted with water.
The mass can be applied to the surface by hand with a trowel.

It can be applied to damp, but not wet, surfaces. Do not apply in rain and temperatures below +5°C.

Why should you impregnate horizontal and vertical surfaces?
  1. Moisture Protection: Impregnation creates a barrier that prevents moisture from seeping into the material. This is crucial for surfaces like walls, floors, and roofs to prevent issues like mold, mildew, and rot.
  2. Prevention of Mold and Fungal Growth: Moisture can lead to the growth of mold and fungi, which not only pose health risks but can also cause structural damage. Impregnation helps to inhibit the growth of these harmful organisms.
  3. Weather Resistance: Horizontal and vertical surfaces are exposed to various weather conditions such as rain, snow, and UV radiation. Impregnation enhances the material’s resistance to these elements, reducing degradation and prolonging its lifespan.
  4. Ease of Cleaning: Impregnated surfaces are often easier to clean as they are less prone to staining and dirt accumulation. This is particularly beneficial for surfaces like floors and walls in high-traffic areas.
  5. Longer Durability: By protecting against moisture, mold, fungi, and weathering, impregnation helps extend the lifespan of materials, reducing the need for frequent repairs or replacements.
  6. Safety: Impregnation can contribute to maintaining better indoor air quality by preventing moisture buildup and mold growth, which can have positive effects on occupants’ health and well-being.
