Usage:
Sealing tape designed for sealing in transportation construction:
- for jointing asphalt layers made at different times, transverse and longitudinal jointing
- It is also used to connect different materials, e.g. asphalt concrete layer with poured asphalt layer, as well as asphalt layer with external devices, e.g. gullies, manholes and other elements of infrastructure built into the road surface or limiting it (curbs, drainage elements, rails)
BASE PREPARATION
The asphalt pavement to which the tape is attached should be cleaned of dust, dirt, debris, oils prior to application. In wet or icy conditions, treat the surface with compressed air.
The crack area to be bridged should be dry and free of loose parts.
PRODUCT PREPARATION
When the tape is stored in a warehouse with an ambient temperature below 0 °C, it shall be inspected in a room with an ambient temperature of 15-20 °C at least 24 hours before laying.
APPLICATION
Remove the tape rolls from the packages and remove the protective release agent. Apply tape to the face of the crack and adhere it by hand or with labor-saving tools.
Application operations should be carried out at an ambient temperature of +5 °C or higher. For temperatures below +10 °C, use a propane torch to heat the surface of the asphalt to increase the bond strength of the tape.

Storage:
Store rolls at 5-25 ˚C in a dry place protected from direct sunlight.
Store rolls horizontally. Each roll should be layered to protect them from possible sticking.

What is an asphalt tape?
