Emulsifiers are a fundamental component used in the production of asphalt emulsions, responsible for the stable dispersion of asphalt in water and for imparting the required technological properties to the emulsion. Their use affects product stability, the rate of breaking, and the effective adhesion of asphalt to aggregates in road construction processes.
EMULEX A1 - ANIONIC EMULSIFIER
Emulex A1 is an emulsifier intended for the production of highly stable anionic bitumen emulsions for waterproofing applications.
Emulsifier Emulex A1 can be used in the production of elastomer-modified emulsions in the aqueous phase, as well as with polymer-modified bitumen.
DOSAGE AND APPLICATION
Emulex A1 is dissolved in hot bitumen at a dosage of 1% to 3% relative to the mass of the bitumen.
Hot bitumen containing Emulex A1 is mixed with a 1% NaOH solution in water.
The optimum temperature of the aqueous NaOH solution is 80°C.
